Bone scrapers for gentle harvesting of autologous bone

Bone scrapers are used to harvest autologous cortical bone directly from the patient during implant surgery and bone regeneration treatments. This manual technique allows for gentle bone harvesting while collecting bone particles along with blood, making them easy to apply to the defect.

The Safescraper Twist from META features an effective cutting blade and a transparent collection chamber. It is available in both straight and angled versions for good accessibility in various intraoral areas. The harvested bone can be used immediately or temporarily stored in the collection chamber during the procedure.

Micross is a narrow bone scraper developed for minimally invasive bone harvesting in confined and hard-to-reach areas. It is particularly suitable for harvesting small amounts of autologous bone in, for example, minor periodontal and peri-implant defects.

Both the Safescraper Twist and Micross are sterile, single-use instruments. They provide the dentist with controlled access to the patient’s own bone material without the need for motor-driven instruments for the actual bone harvesting.
