1. High wear resistance: CLEARFIL™ AP-X is a microhybrid composite fully loaded with fine, high-density barium glass particles at 86% by weight (70% by volume). This is one of the reasons why CLEARFIL™ AP-X has such exceptionally high wear and fracture resistance. It delivers compelling value for durable posterior restorations.

2. Excellent polishability: The high number of fine filler particles (as small as 0.04 μm) provides excellent polishability. This allows for aesthetic results, making it ideal for challenging anterior restorations.

3. Low polymerization shrinkage: The high-density filler content is also one of the reasons for the very low polymerization shrinkage of 1.9%, which significantly reduces stress on the cavity walls. This results in a limited risk of postoperative sensitivity and secondary caries due to marginal leakage.

4. Visible radiopacity: The absence of marginal adaptation can be easily verified because the material has excellent radiopacity for X-ray evaluation due to its high proportion of barium glass particles.

5. Easy handling: CLEARFIL™ AP-X has a special non-stick formulation that prevents it from sticking to instruments or contact matrices. On the one hand, the material adapts smoothly to other composite layers and is therefore ideally suited for anterior restorations. On the other hand, CLEARFIL™ AP-X has a consistency that makes it excellent for achieving precise shapes in posterior areas.
