CLEARFIL MAJESTY Posterior – High-Filled Composite for High-Load Restorations

clearfil majesty posterior

CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ Posterior from Kuraray Noritake is a light-curing, nano-super-filled, radiopaque restorative posterior composite resin consisting of inorganic nano- and microfillers treated with our proprietary new surface treatment technology.

Indications forCLEARFIL Majesty™ Posterior

• Direct restorations for anterior and posterior teeth (Class I–V cavities)
• Correction of tooth position and shape (e.g., closure of diastemas and underdeveloped lateral incisors)
• Intraoral repairs of fractured crowns/bridges

Advantages of CLEARFIL Majesty™ Posterior

• Highest filler content (92% by weight, 82% by volume)
• High surface hardness comparable to human enamel (high wear resistance), yet tolerant of the opposing tooth
• High mechanical properties (strength, durability) and high cure depth
• Low polymerization shrinkage and low thermal expansion
• Better marginal adaptation, even over a longer period
• Easy to handle
• Versatile, simple, and precise shade selection for posterior restorations

The new surface technology allows a greater amount of nanofiller to be dispersed in the resin matrix, which consists of monomer and microfillers. The resulting resin matrix is reinforced with a filler content of 92% by weight (82% by volume).

CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ Posterior features improved high surface hardness comparable to human enamel (high wear resistance, yet tolerant of the antagonist), high mechanical strength (compressive strength: 504 MPa, flexural strength: 177 MPa), high durability, high cure depth, low polymerization shrinkage (1.5% by volume), and a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

These properties ensure a reliable posterior restoration with improved marginal adaptation and long-lasting results. Despite its extremely high filler content, CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ Posterior also has a consistency that is easy to shape. The high-refractive-index matrix offers yet another advantage: minimal change in translucency after light curing.
