Chirasorb Plus by VITREX - resorbable - braided - antibacterial suture
Chirasorb Plus suture by VITREX is a braided, resorbable antibacterial suture. Chirasorb Plus is coated which gives it smooth handling properties.
Chirasorb Plus is covered with antibacterial coating consisting of copolymer glycolide and lactide, calcium stearate and chlorhexidine diacetate.
The suture has the same handling characteristics as regular Chirasorb.
Remaining tensile strength:
14 days - 75%
21 days - 50%
The suture is completely absorbed after 56-70 days.
