Rebasing Material for Dentures

Relining materials for a better fit and greater comfort

Rebasing materials are used to adjust an existing denture when the fit against the oral mucosa has changed. A properly performed relining can improve the denture’s stability and function, as well as reduce pressure and discomfort for the patient. Our product line includes materials for both soft and hard relining from GC and VOCO.

GC Reline II Soft is a soft and elastic A-silicone that forms a shock-absorbing layer between the denture and the oral mucosa. The material is suitable for use in cases involving sensitive or thin mucosa, resorbed or sharp alveolar ridges, and anatomical undercuts, among other conditions. It can also be used for relining implant-supported dentures and following extractions or implant surgery.

VOCO Ufi Gel SC is a permanent, soft, A-silicone-based relining material that is applied directly in the clinic. It remains soft, absorbs and distributes occlusal pressure, and provides good comfort. The material is methacrylate-free and can be used for PMMA-based complete and partial dentures.

For permanent hard relining, VOCO Ufi Gel hard C is available. The material is applied using an automix system and allows for the completion of a hard relining directly in the clinic during a single visit. It can also be used to extend denture margins and correct the fit of the denture.
