Transparent impression material for aesthetic restorations

Transparent impression materials are used to produce precise silicone matrices for aesthetic and restorative treatments. The materials’ high transparency provides good visual control and allows for light-curing composite through the matrix. They are particularly useful for injection molding techniques, rebuilding worn teeth, and reproducing a diagnostic wax-up.

Exaclear—the obvious choice

GC EXACLEAR is a transparent vinyl polysiloxane with excellent detail reproduction and a balanced consistency. The material remains stable during application but flows under pressure to conform to the details of the model or preparation. After curing, it is stable enough to resist deformation yet flexible enough to be easily removed.

CrystalSil—an affordable alternative

Ventura CrystalSil from Madespa is an affordable transparent A-silicone for fabricating matrices in direct composite techniques. The material facilitates efficient light curing and creates an oxygen-free environment that reduces the oxygen-inhibited surface layer. The result is a smooth and compact composite surface that requires less post-processing and polishing.
