Vicryl Rapide suture 5-0, FS-2 needle, 45 cm undyed filament Pack with 36 sutures Absorbable - synthetic - multifilament. Vicryl Rapide is a rapidly absorbed, synthetic, braided suture. The suture has a coating that prevents flaking and offers a smooth passage through tissue. The chemical structure of Vicryl Rapide is identical to that of the traditional Vicryl suture (polyglactin 910). A low molecular weight creates the unique rapidly-arbsorbing features for Vicryl Rapide. Typical areas of use for Vicryl Rapide: • Skin closure, cuticular or subcuticular • Epistotomies • Closure of oral mucosa • Conjunctival sutures in ophtalmic surgery Vicryl Rapide remaining tensile strength: 5 days - 50% 10-14 days - 0% The suture should be completely absorbed after approximately 42 days.
