Shelter® resorbable collagen membrane is extremely tensile, suturable and fixable with pins.
In vitro studies have shown that the SHELTER® membrane is highly hydrophilic, as it can quickly absorb any liquid it comes into contact with, while maintaining its three-dimensional structure (without collapsing). After rewetting, SHELTER® acquires high adhesion properties and adaptation to surfaces: this is extremely important for practices where the membrane must adapt even to very irregular surfaces.
From this it can be seen that SHELTER® collagen membranes are suitable for applications in alveolar bone regeneration with the GBR and GTR techniques.
The ability of the membranes to rewet makes them easy to handle, able to adhere to irregular surfaces even in hard-to-reach positions.
Shelter® Resorbable collagen membranes are produced through a fully European (Italy) supply chain that is , certified and controlled (CE 0373), through a standardized decellularization process.
