SHELTER® Resorbable collagen membrane
SHELTER® resorbable collagen membrane is extremely tensile, suturable, and can be fixed with pins.
Barrier function: 4 - 6 months.
In vitro studies have shown that the SHELTER® membrane is highly hydrophilic, as it can quickly absorb fluids it comes into contact with while maintaining its three-dimensional structure (without collapsing).
Upon rehydration, SHELTER® demonstrates excellent adhesion properties and adapts well to surfaces—this is especially important for procedures where the membrane must conform even to very irregular surfaces. This indicates that the SHELTER® collagen membrane is suitable for applications in alveolar bone tissue regeneration using GBR and GTR techniques.
The membrane's ability to rehydrate makes it easy to handle and allows it to adhere to irregular surfaces, even in hard-to-reach positions.
The SHELTER® Resorbable Collagen Membrane is produced through an entirely European (Italy) supply chain that is certified and controlled (CE 0373) using a standardized decellularization process.
